Snowy Funday Sunday

Snowy Funday Sunday
10th December 2017

The Peterborough Phantoms Para Ice Hockey Team enjoyed a day out on Sunday at the outdoor rink at the Van Hage Garden Centre, alongside their sponsor Inspire Peterborough.

With heavy snow falling, and the temperature failing to get above freezing, the team took to the ice to enjoy 2 hours of outdoor skating. Despite several inches of snow falling, the ice was smooth and the sledges had no problems whizzing around the ice pad.

Players, and their families, enjoyed the session, sharing the ice with other groups who were all supported by Inspire Peterborough. Although the Phantoms festive Elf outfit didn’t re-appear after Friday night, Christmas hats were in abundance, and Graham wore the obligatory shorts !

Everyone taking part fully enjoyed themselves, and it was a great way to round off the year. The team retuen to the ice on Friday 5th January at 23:30 for their first training session of the new year.
