“It’s great to see the Cambridge office of Irwin Mitchell return for another season with the Phantoms” said Phantoms Head Coach, Ian Offers. “Through our links with Irwin Mitchell we have been able to promote the sport not just locally but also at a National level.”

“We have been involved with the companies ‘Don’t Quit, Do It’ campaign as well as taking part at Parallel London and attending the World Para Athletics Championships in London last year to promote the sport

“The staff at Irwin Mitchell were hooked on the sport after they first attended a game, and hopefully this year we can get an inter-office game setup as they become more involved with the sport.

Neil Whiteley, a partner at the Cambridge offices said: “The Cambridge office of Irwin Mitchell are delighted to be entering our third season supporting the team at Phantom Para-Ice. It’s been amazing to see the team grow and develop over the past 2 to 3 years and we have really enjoyed being on that journey with them.

“As well as helping the team along their way, our aim has always been to raise greater awareness of the opportunities that inclusive sport can bring to all. This year, we’ll be featuring para-ice hockey in our national sports and disability campaign known as “Don’t Quit Do It”.

This season has seen a number of other regional Irwin Mitchell offices getting involved with their local Para Ice Hockey teams. “The word is already spreading and we now have Sister Irwin Mitchell offices routing for other teams in the league which will add a certain spice to this year!!” continued Neil.

“The Phantoms team added a lot of new players last year and there are more to come, which is fantastic because it shows how interest is gaining ground. Good luck to Coach Ian and the team!!”
